HandMADE Montana is an organization for artisans and makers. We organize events (MADE fairs & workshops), provide resources to artists, and encourage growth and support in our community efforts. The MADE fair is Montana’s largest art & handcrafted market and features a curated collection of over 200 skilled artisans as well as a handful of non-profits. The summer Missoula MADE fair is a modern handcrafted open-air market. The show features over 165 local and regional artists selling unique one-of-a-kind creations, non-profits, a family care area, and local food & beverages! Enjoy the views of Caras Park and soak up the sun while supporting local artists and a sweat-shop free economy. This event is family and hipster-friendly. Artist Jessie Smith is a surrealist illustrator based in Missoula Montana. She delights in creating intricate surreal illustrations often featuring opulent animals and Faberge eggs as the subjects.
We make wool felted wildlife sculptures, mostly of birds. We also make ornaments and functional wool felted art such as dryer balls, coasters, trivets and wool felted soaps.
Rebecca Mann is the designer/artist behind Busy Bee Metalworks. It began while she was living in Juneau, Alaska where she began taking some community art classes in silversmith.
Mimi Matsuda Art – I’m a wildlife, whimsical and landscape artist from Bozeman, via Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Park, and Portland Oregon. I’ve drawn animals as long as I can remember and love the outdoors.
Hattie Rex is a women-owned business specializing in hand-stamped metal jewelry, accessories and pet ID tags. Our studio and retail shop are located in beautiful downtown Bozeman, Montana. At Hattie Rex, our goal is to craft unique creations with a handmade feel and personal touch.
BT Livermore loves to make stuff: prints, paintings, wood, and other functional pieces and home goods. Most of what BT makes has a focus on vintage style, fun typography, and a humorous message.
2021 will go down in the books as quite a year—a year of growth, recovery, gratitude, and so much more. This year, we were fortunate to connect artists with customers in-person again at our MADE fairs after having canceled everything in 2020.
