      how to be a MADE fair artist // SPRING & SUMMER

      The MADE fair is a modern handcrafted market featuring local and regional artists. The MADE fair’s mission is to increase awareness of handmade goods as an alternative to mass-produced items and support local and regional small craft business by providing a place to sell their products. We provide opportunities to artists of all levels—the hobbyist to the seasoned professional. Our events have grown in size of the years and are very well attended and seen as a great place to shop and connect with local artists.

      We are very excited to announce a new addition to our event lineup. The Spring Bozeman MADE fair is perfectly timed to find something special for Mother's Day or that recent graduate. We are introducing a special Friday Night Preview to give those wanting a more intimate shopping experience with more details coming. Last year we raised over $3000 for a local non-profit via the $10 VIP pass, and we will continue to partner with a local organization to offer early access shopping on Saturday morning, 9 am-10 am! We will be featuring local and regional talent, non-profits, and a few interactive booths! APPLY // ARTIST // NON-PROFIT

      MISSOULA SUMMER // JUNE 23 // CARAS PARK // 10AM- 4PM

      The Missoula Summer MADE fair is a modern handcrafted open-air market featuring local and regional artists at Caras Park in downtown Missoula, MT. Our juried summer show features over 170 skilled artisans as well as a handful of non-profits. In addition to shopping, customers can experience the flavor of local food & beverages and enjoy the views of the river and mountains that surround. APPLY // ARTIST// NON-PROFIT // FOOD & BEVERAGE


      The MADE fairs are presented by HandMADE Montana— a professional organization for art & handcrafted goods. We organize events (MADE fairs & workshops), provide resources to artists, and encourage growth and support in our community efforts.

      application process

      We have defined our criteria for acceptance and have decided to stay focused on products that are handcrafted by individuals or small groups of artisans to help them grow. Items MUST be handmade/designed by the artist and not mass produced. We feature both local and regional artists, and all applications are reviewed during the jurying process.

      The MADE fairs are competitive juried shows, so keep this in mind when filling out your application. The MADE fair jury will be looking for unique products that fit the feel of the MADE fair (funky, fun, functional) as well as variety and quality of work. The MADE fair’s mission is to increase awareness of handmade goods as an alternative to mass-produced items and support local and regional small craft business by providing a place to sell their products.

      HOW & WHEN TO APPLY

      There is a non-refundable $10 application fee for artists to have your work juried for each of the MADE fair events this summer. This fee and all pictures MUST be included with your application to be considered.

      1. Fill out the online application.
      2. Upload images—5 product, 1-2 process, and 1 booth.
      3. Pay application fee.

      For many, our shows are their best of the season and we do a great deal to promote all of our artists on our website and social media. We have found our customers enjoy pre-shopping the artists and planning out their day of shopping. This is definitely an added benefit compared to other handmade markets; it is one of the many things that set us apart.

      All of our events are very well attended and we work hard to bring in a variety of customers. In addition to our website, Facebook, and Instagram pages, we advertise our events well in advance using these methods:

      • Social Media—Facebook & Instagram Ads

      • Calendar Listings—newspaper, online, and magazines

      • Digital & printed floor plan maps
