Grace Brogan studied fine art as an undergraduate and soon thereafter worked at a school of traditional craft that allowed her to learn more about woodwork and textiles. She learned broom making for the first time in early spring of 2009 and dug even deeper into broom making with a second-generation broom maker in 2018, with studies under artisans in leather, wood, ceramic, and textiles informing her broom making in between. Grace's work is in permanent gallery collections and everyday kitchens, and she is so grateful for the opportunities to interact with both settings. She enjoys playing in the space of mindful and mundane, labor and ritual, ordinary and extraordinary.
