Kara Haygarth

Born and raised in Corvallis, Oregon, Kara Haygarth has been passionate about drawing and visual arts since she was old enough to hold a pencil. Much of her life has been dedicated to pursuing creative expression and aesthetic design. After living in New York City for many years and working as a fashion designer, Kara felt the call of the great outdoors. She left the concrete jungle and eventually settled in Bozeman, Montana, in 2019. Influenced by the beautiful Montana surroundings, her art naturally gravitated toward wildlife as the predominant subject matter. Kara often blends inspiration from nature with a dreamlike sensibility to create charming, whimsical compositions. Her use of saturated colors and a modern, graphic style is intended to evoke joy and wonderment in the viewer, as well as being an expression of her aesthetic.
