      How to be a Fall or HOliday MADE Fair artist

      The MADE fair is modern handcrafted market featuring local and regional artists. Our juried events feature over 200 skilled artisans as well as a handful of non-profits. There are multiple MADE fairs during fall & holiday season— Bozeman Fall and Helena & Missoula Holiday events. Below is information about the events and important dates for 2024.


      BOZEMAN // OCT 18-19 // Breeden Fieldhouse // APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE MAY 1 // DUE AUGUST 1

      Last year was fantastic and will once again be able to bring all that our events offer for artisans, non-profits, and the local community to the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse for the Bozeman MADE fair. We are looking forward to curating more Bozeman artists as part of the 200+ booth spaces we have available.$10 VIP Pass for Friday 5pm-8pm and an $5 Early Bird Pass for Saturday 9am-10; FREE 10am-4pm


      HELENA // December 6-7 // Lewis & Clark Fairgrounds // APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE MAY // DUE OCTOBER 1

      The Helena Holiday MADE fair is rocking with over 7500 customers attending the event. We will continue to tweak things to help with traffic flow and allow vendors a little more wiggle room as well. The show features over 190 talented artisans, local non-profits, activities, and delicious food & beverage options. The Helena Holiday MADE fair has free entry, free parking, and plenty of room to shop. $10 VIP Pass for Friday 5pm-8pm and an $5 Early Bird Pass for Saturday 9am-10; FREE 10am-4pm.


      MISSOULA       // December 15 // APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE MAY 1 // DUE OCTOBER 1

      Every year we see more and more excited customers and fans checking out our 200+ artists & non-profits. This past year we saw over 8500 people come through the doors to support the curated collection of local artists. There are three levels of shopping— arena floor, balcony, and upper gyms.
      $15 VIP Pass for Sunday 9am- 11 am; FREE 11am-5pm

      The MADE fairs are presented by HandMADE Montana— a professional organization for art & handcrafted goods. We organize events (MADE fairs & workshops), provide resources to artists, and encourage growth and support in our community efforts.

      Application process

      We have defined our criteria for acceptance and have decided to stay focused on products that are handcrafted by individuals or small groups of artisans to help them grow. We love when businesses grow and experience success, and we feel it is important, at that point, to give way to other artists that are up and coming. It is essential for the MADE fair’s continued growth to keep things fresh for the shoppers as well. We feature both local and regional artists, and all applications are considered during the jurying process.

      The MADE fairs are competitive juried shows, so keep this in mind when filling out your application. The MADE fair jury will be looking for unique products that fit the feel of the MADE fair (funky, fun, functional) as well as variety and quality of work.

      how & when to apply

      You must complete separate applications for the fall Bozeman show and the holiday shows and there is a non-refundable application fee to have your work juried for the MADE fair—$10 per show and a special deal if you apply for both holiday shows $18.  If you are a non-profit looking to have a booth, we have a separate applications available .

      Fill out the online application, upload images (5 product shots, 1-3 process image,  1 booth image), and pay application fee.

      For many, our shows are their best of the season and we do a great deal to promote all of our artists on our website and social media. We have found our customers enjoy pre-shopping the artists and planning out their day of shopping. This is definitely an added benefit compared to other handmade markets; it is one of the many things that set us apart.

      •  Product image, business name, and links on our website

      •  A landing page with more detailed information about your business including links to website, facebook, and instagram

      All of our events are very well attended and we work hard to bring in a variety of customers. In addition to our website, Facebook, and Instagram pages, we advertise our events well in advance using these methods:

      • Printed media —10,000 postcards, 2,500 rack cards, 1,000 posters, 5,000 mini cards

      • Advertisements in local papers and magazines

      • Radio spots

      • Social Media—Facebook & Instagram Ads

      • Web Ads

      • Calendar Listings—newspaper, online, and magazines

      • Digital & printed floor plan maps
