Twisted Feathers

Kayla Kujaczynski is a Chippewa Cree ledger artist from Bozeman, MT. She is a full time student majoring in organismal biology. Ledger art is a historical and culturally significant form of Native art. Kayla’s work often blends traditional elements of Native American culture with contemporary urban influences. Her inspiration comes from many different experiences with an emphasis on showcasing Native beauty, relevance, highlighting diversity and honoring nature. Every piece tells a story. Kayla has been a visiting artist at the Yellowstone Tribal Heritage Center, has her work carried by the California State Indian Museum Store and has been exhibited by the Yellowstone Club on behalf of the Shadow Mountain Association, the University of Montana Law Center and more.

She has used digital media to create a popular line of stickers as well and has put her painting skills into designing Native inspired skateboard decks and portraits.
