The mission of TheFriendshipCenter is to be a safe haven for those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking and to empower our community to flourish in relationships free from violence. TheFriendshipCenter assists primary and secondary victims of these crimes to stabilize their lives after victimization. It empowers our clients and their families to secure the resources and skills to resolve their crises and become authors of a new chapter. We serve more than 600 people yearly from Lewis and Clark, Jefferson, and Broadwater counties. Our trauma-informed and direct supports for DVSA survivors include but are not limited to a 24-hour crisis line, an emergency shelter in our 13-room shelter and off-site in area hotels and motels, a transitional shelter program, advocacy, crisis counseling, safety planning, emergency food and material item assistance, hospital crisis response, legal advocacy and accompaniment, transportation, and community referrals.
