Cozy squirrels get ready for winter by caching pine cones to eat and stocking up on art supplies to pass the time. These squirrels are artisans and have many hobbies!

This piece is inspired by summer days camping among the trees in the Absaroka Mountains with my husband and dogs. We often watch squirrels bounce around from tree to ground as they cache sugary cones in preparation for winter. We often take some cones to make homemade syrup.
