The Leather Fringe earrings by Standing Rattle are a stunning fusion of natural materials and traditional artistry. They are designed to reflect a deep connection to indigenous heritage while appealing to contemporary styles. Each pair is handcrafted from high-quality leather, meticulously cut into soft, flowing fringes that create movement and texture. These earrings are accented with delicate beadwork or other natural elements, such as porcupine quills, offering a unique, tactile contrast.

Inspired by traditional techniques, these earrings celebrate the beauty of natural materials and the cultural heritage of their creator, Danette Standing. Lightweight and comfortable, they add a bold, earthy elegance to any look. The Leather Fringe earrings are more than just an accessory—they are a wearable piece of art that honors indigenous traditions and craftsmanship, perfect for those who appreciate unique, handmade jewelry with a meaningful story.

Standing Rattle is wearable art utilizing natural materials made with modern people in mind. Each piece is an homage to the designer's indigenous roots through rediscovered traditional techniques. Most Standing Rattle pieces use copper because of a love for Intaglio printmaking and the way copper patina changes over time. Other materials featured are beads, porcupine quills, antlers, mirrors, and leather.

The artist, Danette Standing, is an enrolled member of the Fort Peck tribe, which is home to the Assiniboine and Sioux tribes in northeastern Montana. She lived on the reservation for about 20 years before moving to different parts of Montana and calling Livingston home. She hopes to return to her reservation one day to keep the family homestead alive.
