The Gallatin Watershed Council (GWC) is a nonprofit organization based in Bozeman that works for clean water and healthy landscapes in the Gallatin Valley. Through restoration, education, policy, and collaboration, GWC partners with landowners and organizations to improve watershed health. Projects include tree planting, wetland restoration, and volunteer-powered cleanups.
GWC fosters stewardship with community programs like watershed cleanups, Stream Team monitoring, educational tours, and the Business Stewards Program. They also advocate for water in local policy, hosting events like Water Policy & Pints! to engage the public and decision-makers.
The Council leads the Gallatin Water Collaborative, uniting 49 diverse stakeholders to address water availability, water quality, and resilient landscapes.
