Cooper Malin

I am a self-taught designer and illustrator currently working towards a degree in Wildlife Biology. I live in rural Montana and much of my inspiration comes from these natural surroundings. I began drawing comics in the fourth grade as a way of making friends in a new school. The ability to create whole worlds with only a pencil brought me unimagined joy and ignited a spark in me that I carry to this day. I continue to create comics and characters inhabiting imagined worlds. Much of my work also contains examples of the natural world, usually a plant or insect that's captured my imagination. These designs often find their way onto stickers, t-shirts, totes, and notecards. I've found a lot of personal satisfaction in turning my art into purposeful objects.
