Caterbear

"Caterbear" by Stella Nall is a vivid, imaginative fusion of form and feeling. Against a striking golden backdrop, a mysterious creature stretches across the frame—a hybrid of bear and caterpillar rendered in velvety black, with fine white dashes mimicking fur or movement. Its bold red eyes and teal-lined silhouette give it a slightly otherworldly presence, while the undulating lower edge of its body hints at metamorphosis in progress. With its surreal form and playful mystery, Caterbear invites viewers to reflect on transformation, identity, and the beauty of the in-between.
