Kaz Chaffin's interest in all things design-related has grown since she was a child, encompassing photography, graphic design, jewelry making, interior decorating and gardening. In 2010, she signed up for classes to learn stained glass to add period detail to the restoration of an 1870 hotel. Those lessons introduced Kaz to the process of building complex puzzles out of unique sheets of art glass, a scoring wheel, copper foil and solder; and turned into a passion that is now Kazalone Design. Currently, copper foil overlays, window panels, seasonal sun-catchers, keepsake boxes, nature-based projects incorporating live-edge wood slabs and various commissions make up the bulk of her work. She is always striving to create new, distinctive designs that increase her skill level and reflect the beautiful details of the western landscape she loves. Kaz currently resides in Belgrade, Montana, enjoying adventures with her two beagles, Riley and Miles, between glass projects.
