Grizzly Study

This fine art graphite drawing captures a majestic grizzly bear standing among river stones, rendered with exceptional detail and texture. Based on a photo taken in 2005 at the West Yellowstone Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, the piece explores the rich textures of a male grizzly’s rough coat through subtle shading and contrast. Both powerful and contemplative, the bear embodies the wild spirit of the Northern Rockies. This is the sixth drawing in a series highlighting the region’s iconic fauna.
