      If you’ve ever been to Yellowstone National Park or hope to make it someday, this print will stand as a reminder in your space of a truly incredible creature that has recovered from the brink of only being seen in history books. The original is ink on paper, 18”x24”.

      Growing up in Montana meant learning about its history. A history that included the near extinction of what was once an estimated 30-60 million bison that roamed North America. Between 1872 and 1874 an average of 5,000 bison were killed a day leading to only 325 wild bison prevailing, 24 of them residing in what is now Yellowstone National Park. Today, I’ve had the privilege of knowing local bison ranchers and easy access to the 4,829 bison, according to a 2019 report, that roams Yellowstone National Park. Bison are indeed amazing creatures, and translating one to paper was a privilege.
