ARt by Raette

Raette began painting in 1994 and began showing and selling her work in 2004. She lives in Kila, Montana, and teaches beginning acrylic painting classes at her studio, Tipsy Brush (est 2014). Her oil paintings are created solely with a palette knife and are created from photographs she takes while enjoying the outdoors.  The thick texture in her paintings emanates an electric quality with an impressionistic feel. Raette is passionate about painting the outdoors and encouraging the creative spirit in others. She spends her free time fishing, hunting, hiking in the summer/fall, and skiing in the winter.
