Lisa Christopher Fiber Art

The goal of my designs is to create a show piece of texture and color. I have always been intrigued with extreme textures and colors and the different ways fiber can be manipulated. This love morphed into the process I learned called Nuno felting. I am constantly experimenting with embellishments, fibers, colors, and sizes and my work is ever-changing. Each piece takes hours of agitating and manipulating the fibers allowing my energy to be infused into every square inch. The base is always 100% silk and the wool roving locks into the silk and it morphs into felt. Each piece of driftwood is found along the shores of Ennis lake. Montana inspires me, as it reminds me of texture and color. I hope you enjoy the end result as a one of a kind show piece of texture, color and fiber infused together.
