Art in the Alpine

My name is Laura Vetsch, and I am the artist behind Art in the Alpine. I am based in Teton Valley, Idaho, and manage the community pottery studio. I strive to create durable, sustainable goods that last a lifetime and give users little moments of joy and beauty every time they make coffee, a bowl of soup, or whatever inspires them. I love the process and challenge of translating the inspiring world around me into clay.
I make two main lines of ceramics using two different clays. My porcelain line includes mugs, small dishes, large platters, cups, and earrings with a hand-drawn design. My speckled stoneware line includes mugs, cups, bowls, plates, spoon rests, planters, and vases that I glaze with a natural palette, primarily white and shades of blue.
