Hello my name is Cheri Dyk and I am a contemporary oil painter born and raised in Montana, currently practicing in Bozeman. Getting outside is good for the soul. It's always the animals that I remember most about any location. Animals are my inspiration. Their unique characteristics can transform your image in a matter of seconds. I try and I look past the obvious, finding close observation and engagement with each subject. I use an earthy palette complimented with an occasional pop of color accented with gold and silver leaf. Creating pieces that are dynamic, soulful and bold.
