A.R.C. serves the Flathead Indian Reservation, providing a sanctuary where animals heal people and people heal animals.  We harness the power of the human-animal bond to replace trauma with healing where communities need it most.

ARC offers three programs. Our flagship program, the Reservation Canine Healing Experiment (RCHE) applies Social & Emotional Learning (SEL) to help mitigate the Indigenous youth suicide crisis. It also offers safe sanctuary and animal-assisted therapy to victims of historical trauma and domestic abuse.
 
ARC’s Paws on the Ground (POG) grassroots organizing program recruits Tribal community liaisons and volunteers to empower Tribal communities and build trust and emergency response capacity for animals and pet owners on the Reservation. POG aims to reach vulnerable rural populations and address both economic and racial injustice.
 
Our Flathead Reservation Spay/Neuter Taskforce offers Trap & Release programs and Spay/Neuter Clinic while offering additional low-income veterinary support for the Reservation.
