Grace Brogan Brooms

Handmade brooms marry everyday function with beautiful design. Using wood, broomcorn, and ceramics, I strive to make items with as many natural materials as possible. Broom-making, with its long history, is a simple tradition that I both try to honor and enliven with new shapes and materials. I made my first broom while working at a school of traditional craft ten years ago, and have continued to build on those teachings with other skills I've collected as an artist and maker.
