My name is Rachel; I have been a painter most of my life. I create mixed media pieces including encaustic wax, shellac burning, alcohol ink, and acrylic paint. I refurbish antique pieces such as metal trays and cupboard doors. I also sell merchandise such as prints, stickers, and postcards.  I am a mental health therapist who worked in wilderness therapy for the last ten years- in this space, I not only learned the power of the wilderness but also the wildness in all of us. Painting helps me deeply in my therapeutic process, but I also aim to help invoke emotional empathy for others through my artwork.
