Little Viking Art was born out of love, loss and a want to do good. Creator Jess Nelson-Quimby’s mother (Martha) was a prolific artist and at 47, she died due to complications from a brain tumor. That was in 1997, when Jess was only 11.
20-some years later, Jess started going through the art her mother left behind in order to digitize them for her own keepsake project. As an artist herself, she was inspired by what she found.
Today, Little Viking Art is a creatively collaborative project with Jess using exclusively what her mom drew or wrote to make all the available designs. They can be found on tea towels, onesies, tote bags, stickers, cards and more! As a company it donates 100% of profits to cancer research in Martha’s name hoping to make a difference in the future.
