ARROWLEAF BALSAMROOT

A fine hand-cut relief print! This botanical print depicts the arrowleaf balsamroot. Scientifically called, "Balsamorhiza sagittata," it is a North American species of flowering plant in the tribe Heliantheae of the family Asteraceae. Also sometimes called Oregon sunflower, it is widespread across western Canada and the western United States.

David Miles Lusk is an artist based in Missoula, Montana. In 2014, he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus on printmaking from the University of Montana. David finds inspiration at the crossroads of science and mythology and in the relationship between nature and humanity. In the fall of 2016, he founded Anomal Press.
