Defining Clay

Andrew Holman is an emerging artist living and working out of his home studio in Missoula, Mt. After spending time honing his craft at the University of Montana Ceramics Department, he decided this this was the place to set up his workshop to continue his artistic endeavors.

Andrew focuses his craft on mimicking the look of rusting metal where he uses rivets, screws, and bolts to achieve an industrial aesthetic on functional pottery. His passion for living foods has led him to develop fermentation crocks and continuous brew kombucha fermentors to assist people live a vibrant healthy lifestyle and to make these living foods in their own homes.

Drew also loves adding post firing mechanisms to his work to offer unique functions from his forms. Some of these forms include: Oil Lamps, French Presses, Cold Brew Coffee Brewers, Corked Jars, Salt and Pepper Shakers, and yes there are more!
