Anja Zander of ZanaWoodArtZ creates a variety of functional and non-functional wood art, made of domestic wood, driftwood, veneer and/or exotic wood, which can additionally be combined with other media like sea glass or gold leaf. For handMADE Montana's Holiday Made Fairs in Helena and Missoula Anja’s focus lies on jewelry and 2D wood art as originals or prints. The environment is very important to Anja and most materials are recycled or reclaimed. Her jewelry (earrings, necklaces or sets) is made of upcycled wood scraps and each piece is therefore truly made as one of a kind. The wooden pendants are combined with .925 sterling silver, 14k rose gold filled, and/or more sustainable leather. Her 2D art includes naturalistic pieces and pieces picturing socio-political topics. Further, you can find prints of abstract wood photography – photos of wood that have been transformed into landscapes.
