Claudia, the artist behind Patagonian Hands, is a former Chilean school teacher turned fiber and jewelry artist based in Missoula, Montana. She uses locally sourced wool from Montana and her family in Chile to create lifelike needle-felted animal sculptures, primarily birds—crafted without glue or stitching. Claudia also handcrafts silver jewelry inspired by nature, meticulously shaping and finishing each piece. Her husband Karl helps form the initial felted shapes, which Claudia brings to life with fine detail.
