Dipper - Pausing At the Brink

"First say to yourself what you would be, and then do what you have to do." Epictetus, 2nd C. Philosopher. Throughout the year, I find American Dippers hunting for aquatic insects in the cold waters of Rattlesnake Creek. This one is preparing to jump down into the depths, in search of food, knowing that everything will change once the safety of the glassy green waters is traded for the upturned foam of the rapids.
