Modern Montana Makerie

Showcasing mindful, Montanan art, Joy's work connects our modern desire for simplicity with the beautifully complex territory in which we live.
Primarily featuring her bison sculpture, "Montoya," not just a symbol of the West, but also a nod to her military service during the Afghanistan war, as bison are often the mascot for PTSD/rehabilitation units.
Originally from Wilder, ID, she got her BFA in Theology from Carroll College after her Army Medic Career. She resides in Helena as a full-time ceramic artist, and in her off-time can be found knitting. Small Batch Ceramics, made in Helena, MT.
